Welcome to Mixter Institute for Transition!  My name is Jessica Fessler and I am the proud principal of Mixter.  We offer a post-high school program for young adults with autism that reside in one of 17 districts in the Downriver/Dearborn communities.

We at the Mixter Institute for Transition have a rich history of preparing students for the work force and to live as independent adults.  We meet the needs of students on an individual basis and work closely with students/families to achieve personal goals. Our students have the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of experiences such as woodworking, gardening, cashiering and stocking.

Our students are also employed at various job sites throughout the downriver area!  In addition, we run a wonderful resale shop that is located here in building and is open to the public. Please feel free to drop off your donations during operating hours 9:00 am - 2:00 pm (Monday through Friday) or to stop in and find a treasure.

Please feel free to contact our main office with any questions at 313-389-0220 or contact me directly at Fessler@lpps.info.
