We are proud to be a part of the Great Start to Readiness program.  As a staff, we work hard to provide a high quality, four star, educational program for your child.  We are passionate about what we do and we care about your child's future.

 

What is a high quality early childhood education program?  These programs have strong home and family connections, they encourage and support the development of the whole child - physically, emotionally, socially and academically.  High quality programs are developmentally appropriate; the expectations do not overly exceed the child's ability to learn.  They have highly trained teachers and small class sizes.  They take part in ongoing program assessments to help them maintain and improve their programs.

 

Why are these things important?  Study after study have shown that high quality preschool education helps prevent the achievement gap between economic groups by building cognitive and social skills necessary for successful school readiness.  Children who attend these programs are less likely to be placed in special education, less likely to be retained in a grade, and more likely to graduate from high school.  These are laudable achievements.
