Summer EBT

The USDA recently announced the new Summer EBT program.  Below is some information provided to help you understand the program from the USDA.

During the pandemic, ALL families who had students enrolled in the Lincoln Park Public Schools received P-EBT benefits for the summer months when school was out. The P-EBT has now ended.  The new Summer EBT has replaced P-EBT and will be a permanent program going forward.  With the new Summer EBT program, only families who are Directly Certified (Food Assistance or Medicaid), or household's that qualify for free or reduced meals using the Educational Benefits forms (EBF) will get Summer EBT benefits - it's not automatic any longer.  A lot of families already completed the EBF in the Fall and are qualified. Secretaries have access to the free and reduced roster for their building.  If you need assistance locating student status, please call your building's Main Office or contact the Food Service office at 313-383-5950
